HayAILive is a Chrome extension that interprets your meetings in both directions. What Japanese and English colleagues say appears as Vietnamese subtitles. You answer in Vietnamese, and they hear you in a natural Japanese or English voice.

Two directions, one panel
HayAILive listens to the meeting and speaks for you
When colleagues speak
Read them in Vietnamese
HayAILive listens to the meeting tab, works out whether the speaker is using Japanese or English, and shows each sentence with its Vietnamese translation in the side panel and over the call. A first draft appears while the speaker is still talking and is corrected in place when the sentence ends.
- Meeting audio
- Speech recognition
- Translation with meeting context
- Subtitles
When you speak
Answer in your own language
Speak Vietnamese into your microphone. Each finished sentence is translated and spoken in Japanese or English into Meet as your microphone, so colleagues hear the translation instead of your original voice. You see the text as well, and you can stop the speech at any time.
- Your microphone
- Speech recognition
- Translation
- Japanese or English voice in Meet
Voices: Takumi (Japanese) and Matthew (English) by default, with female voices in Settings. Vietnamese appears as text only; there is no Vietnamese voice yet.
Built for engineering teams
Your team's words stay the way your team says them
Offshore and bridge meetings are full of deploy, merge, staging and ticket numbers. HayAILive keeps those terms the way engineers say them, follows your team glossary, and reads the last few turns of the meeting, so “that fix” still means the fix from a minute ago.
- Team glossary
- Add terms in the side panel, or import them from CSV.
- Meeting context
- Each translation reads the latest turns from both sides of the call.
- The right politeness
- Your Vietnamese is spoken in polite business Japanese (です・ます) unless you are clearly casual.
| Heard in the meeting | Your subtitle | Why |
|---|---|---|
| ステージングで確認しましょう | Rồi kiểm tra trên staging nhé | Term kept |
| とりあえず切り戻しを検討しています | Trước mắt bên mình đang cân nhắc rollback | Your glossary |
| 来週の水曜日、10月29日までに | Trước thứ Tư tuần sau, ngày 29 tháng 10 | Date kept exact |
| throttling us at about 500 requests per second | Đang throttle mình ở mức khoảng 500 request mỗi giây | Numbers kept |
| 恐れ入りますが、田中さんにご確認いただいてもよろしいでしょうか | Xin lỗi, nhờ anh/chị Tanaka xác nhận giúp được không ạ? | Politeness kept |
Real HayAILive output from our tests (synthetic speech, 22 October 2026).
Measured, with the conditions
About two seconds from their last word to your subtitle
We timed 124 utterances in a 20-minute test session through the HayAILive server in Tokyo, with no failed translations. The clock starts when the speaker stops talking.
- English → Vietnamese, 95% of subtitles within
- 2.48 s
- Japanese → Vietnamese, 95% of subtitles within
- 2.99 s
- From the start of speech to the first words on screen
- ≈ 1.2 s
- From the end of your sentence to your Japanese voice
- 1.7–2.1 s
Measured on 21 October 2026 with synthetic speech (computer voices) through a server in Tokyo. Real meetings, with accents, people talking over each other and weak Wi-Fi, will be slower and less accurate. Live Google Meet calls are the next test.
Privacy
Your meeting is translated, not kept
Only between Start and Stop
HayAILive hears the meeting tab and your microphone only while a session runs. Chrome shows its sharing indicator the whole time, and HayAILive never skips Chrome's permission prompts.
Nothing saved on the server
Audio and text pass through the HayAILive server in Tokyo over an encrypted connection and are not saved. Server logs record timings and counts, never what was said.
Named processors
Speech recognition and voices: Amazon Transcribe and Amazon Polly, in the AWS Tokyo region. Translation: Claude by Anthropic.
No provider keys in your browser
The extension holds only your personal client key. The keys for AWS and Anthropic stay on the server.

Install HayAILive in Chrome

Which meeting apps does it work with?
Subtitles work for any meeting that runs in a Chrome tab. Speaking through HayAILive as your microphone works in Google Meet for now.
Does it detect the language on its own?
Yes for Japanese and English, including when speakers switch during the meeting. If a colleague speaks Vietnamese, choose Vietnamese by hand.
Can colleagues still hear my real voice?
Not while My voice is on. Your original voice is muted for the session and colleagues hear the translation. Turn My voice off to talk normally.
Is there a Vietnamese voice?
Not yet. Translations into Vietnamese are shown as text.
Does it work when several people speak?
Yes, but it does not tell speakers apart. Everyone in the meeting shares one subtitle stream.
Why HayAILive
Hayai (速い) means fast in Japanese. Hay means good in Vietnamese, as in “hay quá”. Add AI and live, and you have what the product does: good interpretation, fast enough for a live meeting.
